BUFFALO, N.Y., May 3, 2019 – New York State has the fifth-highest concentration of medical device manufacturing companies in the United States. However, with the global medical device industry poised for further growth, there’s rising urgency to help New York manufacturers capitalize on the opportunity.
A FuzeHub Solutions Forum for medical device manufacturers and suppliers is scheduled for May 13 at the University at Buffalo’s New York State Center for Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences. Industry professionals will be able to connect with resources, expertise and assistance that can help them orchestrate their company’s growth.
“Our Solutions Forums are designed to help manufacturers find the programs, experts and support they need to solve whatever challenges they may face,” said FuzeHub Executive Director Elena Garuc. “New York State has a wide, deep network of resources available to help manufacturers become more competitive and grow. At the upcoming Solutions Forum in Buffalo, we’ll help medical device manufacturers navigate this network and identify the right solutions to match their unique needs.”
FuzeHub, the statewide New York Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NY MEP) center, is partnering with the University at Buffalo and MedTech, a trade association for the bio/med industry, to host and organize the Solutions Forum, which aims to accelerate the growth of the life sciences and biomedical industries in Western New York and regions across the state.
“Western New York has a vibrant and growing life sciences industry, which made Buffalo an ideal location for a Solutions Forum targeting medical device manufacturers from across the state,” Garuc added.
At the forum, industry professionals will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with hand-picked resources, including experts in advanced manufacturing, ceramics, electronics, optics, software and more. It’s a one-stop shop where manufacturers can learn about programs and access resources from across the state.
