Larry Jones, Johnson & Johnson Medtech’s chief information officer, will resign after more than three decades with the company.
“To my friends and partners throughout this journey, this isn't a farewell — it's simply a ‘see you later,’” Jones wrote in a Thursday LinkedIn post.
Jones will retire from J&J on Nov. 15, a company spokesperson wrote in an email.
Jones worked for J&J for 35 years, most recently leading digital surgery connectivity solutions for surgical robots and machine learning platforms.
J&J submitted an investigational device exemption application for its Ottava soft tissue surgical robot, CEO Joaquin Duato told investors in October. And in August, the company launched a new surgical spine robot and navigation platform.
Prior to working with J&J Medtech, Jones was global CIO for J&J drug research subsidiary Janssen Pharmaceuticals, according to LinkedIn.
Jones did not say what is coming next.
“As I embark on this exciting new chapter of my life and professional journey, I remain committed to using technology for good, advancing global health equity, and fighting chronic disease,” Jones wrote on LinkedIn.
