Insulet Chief Technology Officer Mark Field left the company on Friday to pursue other opportunities, according to a Monday securities filing. Amit Guliani, Insulet’s group vice president of software engineering, became acting CTO effective immediately.
Field joined Insulet in 2019 after working as CTO of Thermo Fisher Scientific, according to LinkedIn. In 2023, Field was named Insulet’s first CTO, responsible for engineering, cybersecurity, digital and data services and system architecture.
Insulet intends to enter a consulting agreement with Field to help with the leadership transition, according to the filing. Field will receive severance benefits.
Insulet has had high-profile leadership changes in recent years, with former CEO Shacey Petrovic leaving in 2022 and board member Jim Hollingshead stepping into the role. Last year, Ana Maria Chadwick became CFO, after former finance executive Wayde McMillan left for 3M’s healthcare spinoff Solventum.
Even with the changes, Insulet reported double-digit revenue growth last year, bringing in $2.1 billion, and won an expanded indication for its Omnipod insulin patch pump to be used by people with Type 2 diabetes.
Insulet said it has started a search for a new CTO.
